I was attending my granddaughter’s wedding rehearsal dinner in a neighboring state when my upper right front tooth (#8) broke off at the gum line. They called me Pirate Grandma - and I quickly learned to smile with my mouth closed! The next morning (Saturday), I called Dr. Majka’s office and through the answering service was able to set up an appointment for 8:00am Monday morning. With short notice, Dr. Majka glued my ailing tooth back in place temporarily so I could attend the 50th anniversary reunion of my college class in New York State. When I returned, the procedure for a dental implant began in earnest. The entire process took a period of five months with three major visits and two additional appointments for check-ups. This length was required to allow complete healing of the gums before placement of the dental implant. A temporary tooth was in place throughout the entire time. Dr. Majka explained the procedure thoroughly as we moved along. He answered all my questions and put my mind at ease. I was concerned whether or not my new tooth would look like me… color matching and all. It does, and I am very pleased!
